Dual-wielding mechanics are different compared to other games, as weapons are fired in a fixed alternating fashion (as opposed to allowing the player to fire an individual weapon whenever they please) it is due to this that both weapons have a fixed on-screen reloading animation, depicting the player reloading both pistols rather than reloading one pistol at a time. The storyline consists of the history of the Big Red One, the 1st Infantry Division of the United States which is eponymous for the title. It is the second time that Treyarch was involved as a developer after United Offensive and is the second console-exclusive game in the series after Finest Hour. Call of Duty 2: Big Red One is a part of the Call of Duty series set in World War II that was developed by Treyarch and published by Activision.
